May 13th, 2013 - Thunder Valley Speedway is getting closer and closer to being ready to officially reopen. For the first time in several years a Super Late Model has made some laps around the track as Kenneth Crowe took his race car out as shown in the picture. Details coming very soon on opening night!

April 21st, 2013 - As an update to all of our great racers and race fans, the rain is really slowing down the progress with getting the track ready to reopen. We are waiting on the infield to dry so that we can get the last two baskets hung. Please be patient as we continue to get the track ready as you all know we didn't inherit a race-ready track, but it will be soon. Thanks for your patience!

March 13th, 2013 - Improvements and new construction continue to be underway at Thunder Valley Speedway (Glenmora, Louisiana) as the track prepares for its grand reopening. Over a foot of new clay is currently being place around the track. Four out of the six stadium lights are now in the air, and the old catch fence is torn down and will be replaced soon with new fence with catch cables. Things are coming together quite well, and the track will be announcing an opening date very soon so please stay tuned!

December 25th, 2012 - Welcome to the launch of the brand-new website for Thunder Valley Speedway (Glenmora, Louisiana) at its new home at www.ThunderValleySpeedwayLA.com. After sitting dormant for the past few seasons, the track was recently purchased by the Crowe family, and will be reopening for 2013! A great deal of improvements are currently underway at the speedway including work to the track itself as well as facility improvements.

The track will host a Weekly Racing Series Event on Saturday nights that will be headlined by the ground-pounding Super Late Model division, which will compete every Saturday night, along with Open Wheel Modifieds, Limited Open Wheel Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Pure Stocks all being a part of the program. Rules for all divisions have been posted.
